Terms of Service

By registering a school on Schoolmate.ng, you agree to these terms on behalf of your school. If you don't have authority to bind your school to these terms, please don't register.

Schoolmate provides software for managing students, attendance, grades, fees and related school administration, including an optional AI assistant (SchoolmateAI) that can take actions on your behalf within your own school's data, using the same permissions as the staff member operating it.

New schools get a free trial. After it ends, continued access requires an active subscription, billed monthly via Paystack. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.

• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Ensure you have a lawful basis to enter each student's and guardian's data into the platform
• Use the service only for legitimate school administration
• Keep the data you enter accurate and up to date

Don't use Schoolmate to store data you don't have the right to hold, attempt to access another school's data, disrupt the service, or use the AI assistant to attempt actions outside your own account's normal permissions.

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We recommend keeping your own periodic exports of critical records.

Schoolmate is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law. You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
